Ruonala Flowers is a local florist based in Ruonala, who do floral arrangements for various occasions. They also have a wide range of green plants, seasonal potted plants, decorative and garden accessories for sale. For this project, I was tasked with redesigning the company's graphic identity by designing their new logo, graphic guidelines and look, as well as designing new exterior wall graphics for their shop. I was contacted by the entrepreneur about the project and we discussed the style, the visual identity and the importance of the redesign. The entrepreneur wanted the new style to be strongly inspired by art deco.
In designing the logo, I was given free hands to brainstorm and make suggestions. The entrepreneur had given me some ideas that she might like in the logo. One idea would be to use a freesia flower in the logo. There would also be a requirement to use an invented flower in the logo. However, the requirement was to create a clear and simple logo that would work in many places. After much planning, the ornamental flower was chosen as the logo, of which there are two versions. The half-flower and the whole flower. This flower would be used in many places, such as social media logos, websites and exterior wall graphics.
Still ongoing prosessa and hasn't been selected yet.
It has been a pleasure to work on this project so far. The entrepreneur who has been asked to create the logo design has been very inspiring and easy and pleasant to work with.
Still ongoing project.
