POLKU INSINÖÖRIKSI
Polku Insinööriksi (in english: The path to becoming an engineer) is a board game where you have to collect credits to graduate. You get to go around the board four times and after that the player with the most credits wins or if someone reaches 240 credits first. The players take different paths depending on what they need. One round always consists of going around the School path and choosing to either go "Home Night" or "Student Party".
The game has three different kinds of currency that the player has to balance or they lose. You have to collect credits to graduate, motivation so you can keep studying and money so you can buy motivation on "Student Party" path if needed.

The game was developed based on a fairly clear vision, it would be a mix of two games: Monopoly and The Game of Life. In the beginning, the board was meant to be an ordinary square model. However, it was then decided to split the board into two parts, "School" and "Free Time" sections. Finally, we got the idea from Mickey Mouse's head and split the "Free Time" part into two more. This resulted in a "Home Night"(good) as well as a "Student Party"(bad).
MY PART IN THE PROJECT
We came up with the idea of the game together and after that, everyone got their own role. Photoshop is a familiar program to me, so it was clear that I was responsible for most of the visual aspects of the game. In the end, I was responsible for creating the visual side of the board and the cards.
